The purpose of these plants is the physical and chemical separation of fats and heavy solids from water. They are compact systems that include aeration systems that contribute to the separation. These require constant and previously sifted flow rates to avoid solids that could damage the units.

Clamshell Spoons

They are equipment used to transport bulk elements, in waste water it is used in sand removal channels to be able to manually remove the accumulation of sand.

Flocculators

Flocculation is a process used in water treatment to remove particles and organic matter suspended in water. In this process, chemicals called flocculants are added to water to bind small particles and form larger flocculates that can be removed more easily. There are 2 large types of flocculators and they are classified by their position, there are vertical type flocculators, in this type of flocculators there is normally an independent pool in each flocculator. On the other hand, there are horizontal flocculators, for this they have flocculation trains, where several are accommodated in a single line and all work with the same drive train.

Horizontal equipment is ideal for treating large flow rates, while vertical flocculators are used to treat low and medium flow rates and it is possible to modulate plants with them.

Agitators

Agitation is a process commonly used in the treatment of drinking water and consists of mixing water with chemicals to eliminate contaminants and improve its quality. In the agitation process, chemical substances such as coagulants or flocculants are added to the water, which are mixed by agitation to promote the formation of flocculates and the elimination of suspended particles and organic matter. The agitation process is essential to ensure uniform mixing of the chemicals in the water. This is important because proper dosing of coagulants and flocculants is essential for successful water treatment and contaminant removal.

Dual Flow Screen

The screen grate was developed for the EMCALI company, to replace old ones, updating the manufacturing material and the drive system. The development of this machine involved the survey of the channel plan for adjustment, the design and mechanical development of the entire machine including finite analysis reports, exploded drawings and a total quality dossier. This machine is used at the mouth of the Cauca River where all large and medium solids are filtered and elevated to be processed later. These machines have been installed since 2015, working uninterruptedly.

Hydraulic Octopuses

In water treatment, hydraulic grabs are used to manipulate solid waste found in wastewater. This solid waste includes objects such as branches, leaves, plastics, rocks and other materials found in the water. Hydraulic grabbers are used in the pretreatment phase of the wastewater treatment process to remove larger solid waste and thus prevent these materials from clogging pipes and treatment equipment. In this way, the efficiency of the treatment is prevented from being reduced and the risk of damage to the equipment is minimized.
